# An inside look at the build of Boom’s supersonic demonstrator

Tooling, welding, bonding, machining — This is the sound of progress.

It’s 5 P.M. on a Thursday evening. As offices across Denver shutter their doors for the day, Boom’s hangar continues to hum with the sound of activity.

A symphony of tooling, welding, bonding, machining, and assembly has become a signature tune for this hangar, as engineers and technicians work hand-in-hand through the build of XB-1.

**“Everything’s coming together,” says Boom’s CEO Blake Scholl. “The view from the hangar is visually different every day, which is really indicative of the level of progress we’re seeing.”**

From the balcony overlooking the hangar floor, one can immediately identify the nose, cockpit, main landing gear, wings, and tooling for XB-1’s nearly 50-foot fuselage. On the walls, massive renders of XB-1 and Overture, Boom’s supersonic commercial airliner-to-be, keep the mission in focus.

Enjoy a closer look at the hangar and hardware on the ground floor.
